Is it legal to make a homemade utility trailer for a car? How would you make one and what materials?
I need a utility type trailer but cannot afford one. Thank you all
There are many ways to do this. You've probably seen the old back-half-of-a-pickup-truck method of building a trailer. Or you could get a pile of angle iron and weld up your own frame. A Dodge Caravan rear axle and springs look like they would work well on a trailer. Or you could do what I did. I bought a cheap, homemade boat trailer, took off the boat stuff, and made a bed out of two old bed frames and some lumber. Thanks for reminding me... the guy signed the title in the wrong place and I need to go call him.
