Why does my dog get very nauseous in any moving vehicle?
He is a Bichon Frise/Poodle mix, about 20lbs, 5 and a half years old. We adopted him from the humane society when he was about 3. When we first took him home in the van he was drooling/saliva a lot. And whenever he's in a vehicle he still does, even before it moves. For some reason I think my dog cannot stand to be in any technology (vehicle) that moves him. He even can get dizzy on an open-air Bike Trailer so in my opinion during his life he won't be leaving this state haha. =)
If we have to take him to the vet in the car he usually vomits/dry heaves at least once during the trip.
Car sickness is surprisingly common in dogs.
Ginger tablets can help ease the nausea and make car trips more comfortable for him.
