I am getting a steel box built for my truck, how much does steel cost per pound?

I have a 10x8x5 Dump Truck, the entire thing is 12 gauge galvanized steel. How much does that cost my metal fabricator to purchase? I want to be able to negotiate a fair price, but this being my third box they still do not want to discount.

I would use aluminum - it's lighter weight and probably less costly. Depends on what you want to do.
