2008 PONDEROSA 4 Horse Slant Gooseneck?
Has anyone had any experience with this trailer? Would it be able to fit four draft crosses that range from 16.1-16.3 and are probably around 1300-1500 pounds.
I have yet to find a Slant trailer that accomodates the big guys. They're just longer and wider than the stalls, which makes them hard to load and cramped when travelling. The horse has nowhere to stretch his nose out even if you can jam him in there. The height is less important than the length of the stalls.
I'd recommend an older style 4 horse, where the two front horses face the back and the two back horses face the front. They can see their buddies, they can move their heads, and the stalls can be as wide as you need. Some can even be configured into 3 box stalls if you need.
