Water Truck

Water Truck

We as citizens of this country and you of yours really need to put our feet down about these rising costs. Our living expenses continue to get more expensive. The cost of food, water, heat and of course gas is getting to the point where we have to scrounge up every bit of change to make it every month. In the past couple of years, everything that we use in our daily lives has started to go up, except, of course, our wages.

If you live in a small town or community that doesn't have a lot of good paying jobs, then you are forced to have to drive some distance, which can cost you a lot in gas. If you live from paycheck to paycheck this can become very expensive, and more and more people are looking to cut corners. Some have to cut their expenses by cutting out extras. With gas prices on the rise you will find that you will be taking more out of your check.

The truck drivers are really the ones that are being hurt the worst. They have been hit the hardest because of the distance they have to drive. The trucking company that they drive for will put more trips together as one longer drive instead of several different ones to save on gas. The independent driver, however, will be hit even harder.

They have to buy their own fuel. These independent drivers are looking for something that will cut their fuel costs. Because they have much bigger engines, it takes a lot more fuel to keep them running. These engines are like a small power plant under the hood of their truck. It has an internal combustion engine like all cars do, but these are a lot bigger.

People and truck drivers alike have been trying to find cheaper ways to travel for years. Electric cars, for example, are a good alternative, but the batteries don't last or keep a charge very long and are very expensive to replace. Also, theses cars are not very big. Most can only hold one or two persons.

Some have tried using water, but please don't because all you will end up with is a big headache and a much bigger repair bill. To be able to use water as a fuel saver, you need to also use hydrogen gas. It is a great alternative to fossil gases because it burns as much as three times hotter.

It is also more potent. Your truck can get a much cleaner and bigger output in mileage with this fuel than with our old fossil fuels. It can also do this without consuming more costly fossil fuel. It can also increase your mileage output and save you up to 57% of your fuel costs. Most of these components for this modification can be purchased at almost any hardware store.

You can get or order a step-by-step guide or booklet on how to do this conversion process in any store that sells auto parts or on the internet.

We often hear or read about having balance in our lives ... maintaining a balanced diet, a healthy balance between work time and family time, the challenge of balancing our household budget ... but there's something else we come in contact with on a daily basis that requires good balance yet we don't give much thought to -- our tires. It's true, keeping our tires in good balance is important to extend the tread life of your tires and to keep your car or truck in good working condition.

To understand the importance of having your tires properly balanced at regular intervals it's necessary to understand the forces at work that can cause problems if your tires aren't well balanced. Geologists, for example, know well the power of small forces consistently repeated over a period of time and the havoc they can wreak. Natural wonders like the Grand Canyon or Mammoth Caves have been carved out of the landscape by the power of simple drops of water consistently dripping on rocks over hundreds and thousands of years. Soil erosion can take centuries, but the forces at work damaging your vehicle if your tires are out of balance can cause their harm in no time.

Assuming you bought new tires from a reputable tire discounter they were likely balanced when installed on your rims. This should never be considered an option, it's absolutely necessary. And although tires (and rims) are manufactured to rigid standards it's possible that small imperfections still exist that can result in slight weight differences, weight differences that can cause unwanted vibrations.

How much vibration? Consider that the tire on a car traveling 60 mph makes about four revolutions per second and each one of those revolutions creates a vibration. In an hour that can add up to over 14,000 revolutions per tire. Once you start to do the math by factoring in how many hours you drive in any given week you can quickly grasp how significant a continuous vibration problem can multiply. (Ask the geologist!) Your car or truck is already being subjected to an unending number of road hazards, such as potholes, gravel, nails and other nasty debris, so it's easy to eliminate one concern by having your tires balanced each time you have your tires rotated.

It's also important to understand that the amount of weight that can cause an imbalance can be very minute. The tire balancing machines available at most tire retailers are set to detect and correct vibration caused by as little as ¼ ounce. While that tiny amount of weight may seem insignificant, repeated over time (as mentioned previously) it could adversely affect tread wear, suspension systems, wheel bearings, steering linkage and brakes. By balancing your tires you eliminate the damaging vibrations that can be the result of a mismatch between a tire and the wheel.

How often you balance your tires is not set in stone, but a good rule of thumb is to balance your tires every time you have them rotated, which is recommended about every 6,000 miles if you travel under average conditions. You may wish to rotate and balance your tires more often if you frequently drive in harsh conditions, such as frequent travel on unpaved road surfaces. Also keep in mind that every time you have a tire repaired and have a patch placed on the damaged area that this will add enough weight to the tire to make if out of balance, so be sure to ask to have your tire rebalanced after having a minor repair.

In conclusion, remember that professional tire balancing keeps your car or truck in good mechanical condition. So always have new tires balanced when they are installed at a reputable tire discounter, check tires for proper balance whenever tire rotation is performed about every 6,000 miles, and have any repaired tire rebalanced to compensate for the weight change.
