Npr Diesel
Greetings from Tijuana
A mile east of the Tijuana International Airport is an area police call El Fin del Mundo, the End of the World, where drug-cartel assassins dump their victims. Both Mexican and American citizens have been found there.

91 Isuzu Npr box truck glow plug Question?
It has the 4bd2 4Cylinder diesel engine with 20,000 miles on it and I don't think the glow plugs are working. It starts fine on a hot day but the colder it gets the harder it gets to start. It runs great once it starts. I here this truck has a glow plug timer in the electrical box near the drivers side wheel. If this timer is bad can I bypass it and use a push button and a solenoid or relay to energize them. If so how long can I energize them without burning them up. I haven't had a chance to check anything yet as far as voltage to the plugs but I will tomorrow. I don't think they would all go bad at one time.
The engine is rebiult by Isuzu and the batterys are 1 month old. And you can wait all day cycle the switch over and over and still no glow plugs. I was wanting to work the glowplugs manually with a switch and relay and let me be the timer. Like some diesel tractors do. Thats if my timer is bad
I used to own 2 of these great trucks, and never had any glow plug problems. One of them had 500,000 (not a misprint) miles on it before trading it for a newer model. Are the batteries fairly new or old ?? That's the first place I would look, as 20K miles is way too soon for a problem with the glow plugs. No offense, but you do know that you need to wait for the glow plug light to turn off before attempting to start the engine ?? You do not want to try and bypass anything

US $3,200.00
